J.P. Huston, a new 2024 BRJTF scholarship recipient, is making incredible headway in competitive play so far this year. J.P. is a first year Boy’s 16. After winning the Level 5 Boy’s 14 in both singles and doubles at Southlake, TX November 11-12, 2023, he was out for almost 6 months with injuries.Â
Beginning the new year, March 16-17, he played the Level 5 Bush Tennis Center Open in Midland, TX and was a singles finalist in Boy’s 16’s. In High School play for Edmond North and playing #2 Varsity singles, he is undefeated so far this season finishing in1st place at Jenks (3/1), Ponca City (3/9 and 3/12), Crossings (3/14), Enid (3/25), Ada (4/6) and Bixby (4/9).Â
Sometimes injuries have a funny way of reassessing a player and re-energizing them. This definitely seems to be the case with J.P. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!
