
Congratulations to the incredible results that BRJTF players have made this summer.
Check this out:
Taytum Jones and JP Huston joined forces at ECC 9/14-15 where they won two doubles matches and lost two finishing third. In singles, JP won three matches of four losing in the finals of the event.
Ty Taylor, Tatum Jones, and JP Huston are ranked 1#, 2#, and 3# in Oklahoma in their first year of 16’s
Penelope Smith is also ranked 1# in Oklahoma her first year of 14’s.
JP Huston qualified for and played the National Clay Courts and Hardcourts (“the” National Championships). Taytum Jones also qualified for National Hardcourts. JP Huston has also been selected as the 2024 Boy's 16 and Under Sportsmanship award winner by USTA Oklahoma and nominated for the Boy's 16 Sportsmanship Award for the Missouri Valley Tennis Association.
Penelope Smith also qualified and played the National Hardcourts.
Ian Wu wrote an essay on the GOAT in his life - his father - and won the USTA/NJTL Essay contest and received a trip to attend the US Open with his father.
Both Taytum Jones and JP Huston were selected for the USTA Foundation Excellence Award and also received a free trip to the US Open to attend career oriented classes as they ready for college decision making.
How could these five kids do so well? Of course I always said the ones who work the hardest and believe in themselves will do well in their lives both on and off the court. Tennis is such an amazing sport and gives us back so much. These five prove that to be the case in every way!!!!
