In lieu of the postponement of the OKC Junior Champions Reunion originally slated for June 10th, an impromptu gathering of several local OKC students was held at The Garage on June 10th.  Attending were: Bill Rompf, Bryan Geiger, John Winteringer, Steve McDonold, Elizabeth Barnes and her parents Ann and Smitty ( on their 60th wedding anniversary)

Bill Rompf Junior Tennis Foundation President, Bryan Geiger and Bill Rompf presented Ian Wu with his scholarship certificate at the OKC Tennis Center accompanied by Ian's personal coach and First Serve President, Phil Lancaster and Ian's family.

While this OKC Junior Champions Reunion may understandably focus mainly on former students and families close to the OKC area and nearby communities, Bill plans to be in OKC this summer in the month of June 10, 2023 and we are planning a mini OKC Junior Tennis Champions Reunion for all those in

BRJTF's newest scholarship recipient, Ian Wu, won the Boy's 4A High School State Championships at #2 singles held in OKC 5/2/12-14.  In an amazing turnaround match, Wu came back from a 0-5 deficit in the third set to win 6-7, 6-3, 7-6 over John Paul Dillon to secure the championship for Classen HS. "It is my proudest moment ever playing tennis.  I still don't believe it happened" stated Ian after the match.

Private clubs and public facilities are striving to be more things to
more people as they try to defuse the tension between tennis and
fast-growing racket sports like pickleball.
