One of our new 2024 scholarship recipients, Penelope Smith, has put up some great results so far this year in her first year of 14 play. February 17-19 at the Level 4 Open in Lincoln, NE she finished 5th in singles; March 1-3 at the Level 5 Open in Kansas City, KS playing up in Girl's 16's, she won the consolations; March 16-18 at the Level 3 Open in Rome, GA she was a single consolation quarter finalist; April 13-15 in her hometown of Tulsa at the Level 3 Open she got the the semi's of the singles consolation and was a semifinalist in the doubles main draw; and last week (April 20-22) in Little Rock, AR at the Level 4 Open she finished third in doubles. Not bad for a first year 14 coming out of the 12's. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, PENELOPE!!
